Unashamed!

On Friday 18th May, St Matt's Youth is hosting a combined youth event 'Unashamed'. 

The event is run in partnership with and organization called 13:3 "Thirteen three is a youth initiative of Voice of

the Martyrs Australia. Our mission is to empower and mobilise a generation of passionate youth to be bound with their persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ through praying, giving, writing, serving and telling others."

Join us for a great night where you will be challenged in your faith and also help to send bibles to Colombia.

Extreme Camp

Extreme Camp is on again!

Friday 1st- Sunday 3rd June 2012

Kedumba House, Katoomba.

Extreme camp is the place to hang out and learn about our Lord Jesus Christ. We are going to learn about the power of the gospel and if you don't knwo what that is, come along and find out. We are also going to have all sorts of vintage fun on the saturday night.

St Matt's is holding is inaugural Study Camp for those doing the HSC this year.

Monday 24 - Saturday 29 September 2012

You will get up to 6 hours of study a day in quiet indidvidual study or group study. 

There will also be leaders around to help you with different subjects and subject 

seminars during the week from teachers. 

The camp is open to the first 90 who bookin. Cost is $100 for the week or $20 per day

We have a vibrant youth ministry that meet in single sex Bible Study groups on a Friday night. Over 100 youth in years 6-12 gather together at the end of the school week in these groups to enjoy time together eating food, sharing their lives with each other, supporting one another in prayer and opening God's word in a small group context. And of course, to have some fun! 

Time: 5:30pm - 7:30pm at the church during term times.

Term 1 for Friday night bible studies will be looking at the Gospel of John and finding out who Jesus is and how we should respond to him. Make sure you join us to see what God has in store to teach and challenge us with!

Extreme is the church group for guys and girls in Years 6-8 at school. It meets on Sunday mornings at 10am in the OLPS School Hall (next door to the church), Kendall Street, West Pymble. Afternoon Extreme is run in the church hall along side our 5pm service.

Extreme is run as a contemporary church service for teenagers and includes segments such as singing, Bible talks, memory verses, skits, games, book reviews and prayer. It is always a lot of fun and we'd love you to join us!

This term Extreme will be looking at the book of John.

We have a team of 20+ voluntary youth leaders who dedicate their time and energy to looking after the teenagers in our church. Many of these leaders have themselves come to know God through youth ministry programs and love to serve in this ministry, desiring those younger than them to also be impacted by the Gospel.  They prepare and lead weekly Bible studies, facilitate pastoral care and act as role models for our youth. All leaders have completed Safe Ministries training.
