Lead Minister

Gary is married to Carol and they have three daughters Katie, Sarah and Rachael. Gary has have been with us at St Matthew's for the last 17 years. Prior to this he was ministering at Christ Church, Kiama.

Gary's favourite escape is surfing and tries to go at least once a week. His other great love is reading books written by John Piper.

Associate Minister

Rob is married to Liz and they have three daughters, Amy, Chloe & Tahlia. Rob worked as a lawyer for Anglicare before joining the staff team in 2003. He oversees our pastoral & ESL ministries at St Matt's.

Rob loves military history, War Memorials and reading the works of CS Lewis.

Youth & Young Adults Minister

Steve is married to Kel and they have three young children, Laythen, Jarrah & Balin.  He joined us at West Pymble from St Thomas' Anglican, Cranebrook in February 2008 to oversee St Matt's Youth and the Sunday@6 congregation.

He loves his family, watching sport, playing sport, listening to sport and eating food. He enjoys spending his New Year down at Lake Tabourie and has been part of the Lake Tabourie Beach Mission Team for the last 12 years.

Children's Minister

Gai is married to Glen and they have two children, Stephen and Claire.  Gai joins us as Children's Minister in October, 2009. Over the past two years she has worked in children's ministry at Macquarie Anglican Churches and St Anne's Anglican Church, Ryde but she is glad to be back home at St Matt's!

As well as being a mum & our children's worker, Gai is currently studying a Diploma of Theology at SMBC (Sydney Missionary & Bible College) part time. She relaxes by going camping with her family and friends and bushwalking.

Women's Minister

Karen is married to Daniel and has three adult children, Bec, Felicity and Josh. Karen & Daniel have been worshipping at St Matt's for almost 9 years and have been involved in a range of different ministires during that time.

Karen is a caterer by trade and runs her own catering company, Karen Will Cater. In her spare time she coordinates our Women's  Ministry including overseeing women's bible study groups, outreach events and pastoral care.  Karen is never far from a cup of Earl Grey tea!

Parish Administrator/Women's Ministry

Alison has been involved with the youth and women's ministries at St Matts for the last 4 years. She works as our administrator providing support and organisation to our ministry team and co-ordinates parish events. In 2010, she will take on a greater role in the women's ministry, working along side our women's minister, Karen. 

Al  is currently half way through her studies in a Diploma of Theology at SMBC (Sydney Missionary and Bible College) and is enjoying her subjects. She loves travelling, good coffee and reading crime books.

Parish Secretary

Teena is married to Geoff and has a daughter, Kate.  She has been the parish secretary for 17 years and is the original 'girl scout' (that is, prepared for anything!).   If you need to know anything about St Matthew's, chances are Teena knows that answer!

Teena loves a good cup of tea with a biscuit and has a special place in her heart for London!

Ministry Trainee

Ed is well known in our Youth Ministry and Sunday@6 congregation having grown up through primary and high school at St Matt's. He is engaged to Chloe and is looking forward to their wedding in June!

Ed joins us in 2010 as a ministry trainee and will be involved in a wide range of ministries allowing him a hands on experience in church life. He will continue to work as a store manager of Domino's Pizza 2 days a week.

Student Minister

Patto has been with us at St Matt's for 6 years leading in various Children's and Youth ministries. He is currently looking after the Year 10 guys at Friday Night Bible Study!

Patto has been working as an environmental scientist but 2010 marks a change in his life. He begins studying this year at Moore Theological College, Newtown undertaking a Bachelor of Divinity and will be our student minister along with his wife, Sarinah, one day per week.
