Most people would agree that a mission statement is an important thing to have in life and certainly in the workplace. A mission statement gives purpose, meaning and a clear reason to continue to do what we do. For missionaries, not only do they hold to their 'mission statement', but they go out to all corners of the world to tell people the wonderful reasons why their mission statement is a good one! |

Their mission is to go out and tell people about the amazing person of Jesus, and that he has a special gift for us. "For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Missionaries are so excited about this news and truly believe that it is the power to change lives, so they travel to other areas to pass on the good news. |

Michael & Jo Charles (Chile) |

Michael and Jo Charles are missionaries in Santiago, Chile. They have four children, Samuel, Caleb, Emma, Lola.
The Anglican church of Chile is seeking to raise up and train godly Christian leaders for every social stratum through the work of the Centre for Pastoral Studies (CEP). Michael teaches Old and New Testament subjects at CEP. Also serving in the local church, they seek to encourage Chilean believers to read and understand God’s word. The family have had to learn the Spanish language and Jo is now leading ladies Bible Study. |

Laura Haas (South Africa) |

Laura Haas is a self supporting missionary who fully depends on God for all her personal and ministry needs. She has been serving in Khayelitsha, a poor, squatter settlement of more than 1.5 million people near Cape Town, South Africa since 1987. 75% of the people living here are unemployed, illiterate and in desperate need.
During her time at Khayelitsha, she has established numerous church plants, education programs, AIDS support initiatives, food, shelter and clothing schemes. As a missionary Laura works to spread the gospel to everyone in this community in order for them to understand and accept the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. |

Graham & Patty Scarratt (Chile) |

Graham and Patty Scarratt have served in Chile, South America for over 20 years, initially in Temuco in the south, with the South America Missionary Society (SAMS). Graham worked as a Bible teacher and saw the opportunity of teaching biblical studies by translating into Spanish the external courses developed by Moore Theological College, known today as the Preliminary Theological Courses. He and Patty took on this task as well as active duty in the mission field. Through their work of translation of the Moore College courses, the Sydney diocese has taken a greater interest in evangelism for Chile. |

Ralf & Bonnie Lepelaar (Cambodia) |
Rolf & Bonnie Lepelaar are missionaries in Camobodia with their two children Jasmine and Samuel. They served in Phnom Penh from 1996-2001 before returning home to undertake further language training. In 2005, the Lepelaar's headed back to Cambodia where Ralph is training church leaders and developing resources at Phnom Penh Bible College. Bonnie is the Director of the Sunshine Centre, a ministry which aims to give poor children access to quality education as well as catering to their physical and spiritual needs. |

Helen and Dan have been working with the Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students (AFES) at Monash University. They are particularly involved in reaching out to international students. There are three aims that underpin their ministry - they want to evangelise the non-Christian students that come from overseas, telling them the good news of the new life available through trusting in Jesus’ death and resurrection on our behalf. They want to equip the Christian students, training and preparing them to return home. Finally, because of their belief that Jesus is Lord of every nation, they want to export the Christian students. That is, encouraging them not to settle down in Australia, but to use the gifts that God has given them to go back home and tell their friends and family about Jesus. |

Mike & Chantalle Keith are the ministers at the community church in Lightning Ridge, NSW. Lightning Ridge is an opal mining town and tourist destination, its population is unknown and fluctuates between the hot and cool seasons. The out centres are Goodooga and Cumborah. There are many people who come here because they want to find something or are escaping something. They need Jesus, so please pray that blind eyes will be opened to the Gospel, and God will use us and the Christians in town to bring them to salvation.
